The Drones Force of the Islamic Resistance in Bahrain, known as the Al-Ashtar Brigades, has announced an attack on the headquarters of the Israeli company Trucknet in Eilat, which occurred on April 27. This statement was issued shortly after the group faced new sanctions from the US in collaboration with the Bahraini government.
Operating since 2012, Al-Ashtar Brigades have historically targeted state assets in Bahrain, although their activity had been dormant for years. The current whereabouts of the group's leaders are unknown, and the logistics of the attack, likely launched from Iraq, remain unclear due to the group’s dispersed operations.
This incident adds complexity to the regional conflict dynamics, with the Brigades vowing to continue their assaults until the genocide in Gaza ends.
Trucknet, alleged in December it established a land bridge between the Gulf and Israel via Jordan. This "land bridge," while operational on a limited scale, has been a point of contention in Jordan, leading to protests urging the government to halt its expansion. The recent attack follows the Jordanian government’s suppression of these protests, aimed at disrupting what is seen as a lifeline for Israel in its genocide in Gaza.
The attack is not the first of its nature. Iran has established the Islamic Resistance in Saudi as well. At the beginning of the war, it attacked US interceptors placed in Saudi to prevent their use to intercept the Yemeni attacks on Israel. The attacks have succeeded and Saudi stopped its involvement in defending Israeli airspace since.
