Breaking: Head of Security for Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades suggests more than one Israeli was captured in Iraq
In a new telegram message, Abu Ali Alaskari said his group will be taking a lead on understanding "the destiny of one prisoner or more." He said the group will work to understand the network behind them and how they seek to harm Iraq.
The statement is a recognition by Hezbollah of taking Elizabeth Tsurkov as hostage. It is also suggesting she may have not been the only one. The Israeli government might already be aware of this but decided to hide it. Alternatively, Hezbollah is sending a message to Israelis not to come to Iraq or risk kidnap. A Pandora's box might be ahead.
Two months ago, I posted and argued that a decision has been taken by Iran and its regional allies to attack Israelis abroad which happened in Tunisia and Egypt. It is likely that such attacks will be conducted wherever the political environment would allow. This may include Sudan, Libya, and Yemen.
