Four seemingly unconnected events are changing the regional dynamics
In March, an attack from Lebanon targeted Israel.
In April, Israel arrested a Jordanian MP for smuggling weapons into Palestine.
In May, an attack targets a synagogue in Tunisia.
In June, an attack targets Israel from Egypt.
The re-regionalisation of the Palestinian issue is gaining momemtum. During three years of Abraham Accords process, the Palestinian issue was sidelined. Netanyahu said a deal with Palestinians is no longer on the agenda. The recent events suggest Hamas' new agenda is the regionalisation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
After announcing "the unity of the fronts" equation along with other Iran backed allies, Hamas is extending its military activities to other countries in the region. The aim is to increase pressure on Israel and attrite its security services. It also seeks to undercut Israeli advancement in the region as part of the Abraham Accords.
More attacks like the aforementioned are expected in the future, something the head of Hamas has warned of. For Israel, a new approach for dealing with such a changing dynamics will be needed.
