Sinwar in a letter to Hamas Political Office: Alqassam has crushed the Israeli army. They have targeted over 5000 soliders of which a third was killed, a third was seriously injured, and third has sustained  permanent disabilities. 

He refused the Israeli conditions for a new temporary pause and a partial swap deal. 

Hamas seems to feel strong on the battlefield and is not willing to budge on its demands which include a permanent ceasefire and and an all-for-all prisoners swap deal afterwards. 

We are likely to witness further intensified fighting in the next few weeks as the US and Israel try to pressure Hamas to concede. Hamas is likely to up its attacks in show of further strength and resolve. 

Previously, MENA Unleashed assessed that there is not going to be further ceasefires and that the war will drag on to a lower intensity stage which will stop omce the pressure mounts on both sides to conclude their military efforts with some political understandings which reflect the balance of power at the time.
