The UAE Expands the Human Mobility Pillar of IMEC and the Abraham Market
The promise of regional and global mobility is expanding, yet it remains overshadowed by geopolitical risks.
As the Abraham Market develops, the UAE is making significant strides to transform this economic space into something akin to the EU in terms of human mobility. Recently, it extended its visa-on-arrival policy to Indian passport holders with valid tourist visas for the EU, US, or UK, granting them and their families visa-free entry.
This move is part of the UAE’s ambition to position itself as a central hub in the Abraham Market and a key link between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, as part of the US-sponsored India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and BRICS.
To enhance human mobility within the market and with global partners, the UAE has introduced a series of visa policy reforms, building connections across the GCC, Europe, and key partners such as the US, Russia, and China.
